Mateo de Aragon's Diario
Unveil Untold Stories Here

My motives and inspirations..
My name is Mateo de Aragon and my goal is to honor my father. I was born in Seville, Spain in 1474. As I mentioned earlier, my purpose in life is to live out the dream my father had for me and honor his legacy. My father was a man of the sea, a sailor, and would constantly be out sailing on the ocean, he often called them voyages. Despite not being home all the time and being overseas for long consecutive weeks or months, he was still a great father who never missed my or my twin brother's birthday.

However, at just the age of 12, my father passed away on one of his cruises, drowning to death. Since then I have made it my life goal to become a sailor and discover deep waters to honor him and make my family proud. I took on my first voyage at only the age of 18, in 1492, arriving to The New World alongside Christopher Columbus on the Santa Maria. Welcome to my log book, containing the first and the rest of my significant voyages.
Voyages
Throughout my existence, I have been boarded on significant voyages that shaped my journey and defined my life. Many of these voyages changed the course of history and each one took me to new places, challenging my skills as a sailor. However, each challenge brought me closer to achieving the goal of honoring my father's legacy and making my family proud.
